Morgan Edwards Autumn Collection Case

The Morgan Edwards Autumn Collection Case features a varied selection of red wines from regions across Europe:

• Château Bellecroix, Bordeaux Superieur, France, 2015 – One of our favourite discoveries this year the Chateau Bellecroix 2015 offers a silky-textured, medium-bodied Bordeaux with blackcurrants, black cherry, violets and a hint of cedar box. Finely balanced by lively acidity and smooth tannins.
• Domaine Les Yeuses, ‘Syrah Les Epices’ – Former winner of ‘Best Red of Show’ for the Languedoc-Rousillon region at the London Wine Fair this has been a Morgan Edwards staple since we began. Wild thyme and rosemary notes, blackberry and bramble fruit, smooth tannins and enough perfume to keep your nostrils twitching for half an hour, this finishes with an intense, savoury flourish.
• Domaine Les Yeuses, Merlot – On the nose, this is rich and packed with plum and cherry notes. The palate has an abundance of soft, juicy fruit. This shows excellent balance and lovely purity of fruit.
• Vina Eguia, Rioja Tempranillo – Earthy plum and berry aromas are slightly leafy and showing nice complexity. A full palate with ripe tannins, while ripe plum and cassis flavours maintain brightness on the finish.
• Vigneti del Salento, ‘I Muri’ Primitivo – Deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. This wine has red berry fruit perfumes with a hint of spice. Full-bodied with firm tannins, this wine is well balanced with lots of ripe fruit flavours.
• Cantele, Negroamaro – Red fruit with delicate herbaceous notes with a wide range of aromas including sour cherry, red prune and thyme. This wine is defined by its balance of delicacy and alcohol content set against its minerality and freshness. Nuanced and persistent with classic Negroamaro notes.
